We understand that going to the dentist is a huge source of anxiety for a lot of patients.  Our philosophy is that the more comfortable you are as a patient, the easier it is for everybody and the higher quality of care we can provide you.  In addition to local anesthetic, we offer the following "extra" options (Anxiety level of 0-10, 0 = No anxiety):

  • Nitrous oxide:  a safe, inhaled gas that is "like having a couple of glasses of wine."  Once turned off, it is completely out of your system (no need for a ride).  For patients that have an anxiety level of 4 - 7.  Our most popular "extra", we get a lot of positive feedback from patients who use nitrous.
  • Valium:  a safe pill that is taken the night before and 1 hour before appointment.  Someone will need to drive you to your appointment.  For patients that have an anxiety level of 7+.  Used in conjunction with nitrous oxide.
  • General anesthetic:  for the severely phobic, an anesthesiologist comes into our office and puts you to sleep.  For patients that have an anxiety level of 10+.
